Bart Simpson skateboarding through Springfield’s sidewalk has probably inspired everyone that grew up watching The Simpsons. (Who didn’t grow up watching the Simpsons? It’s been on since forever.) Collin Provost has joined the Toy Machine skateboarding company as the latest member of their team. Provost skated for Element Skateboards for almost 10 years. Element still boasts a strong team, including Chad Muska, Bam Margera, Bucky Lasek and Tony Tave. Provost would already have skated with Toy Machine veteran Ed Templeton since they have the same shoe sponser, Emerica. Provost now joins Josh Harmony, Billy Marks, Matt Bennett and a host of other Toy Machine riders. UFC has reported that their biggest draw; Brock Lesnar will not be fighting on November 21st because of illness. UFC president Dana White said that “he’s never been this sick in his life.” UFC hopes to reschedule the match for early 2010. The new main event will now feature Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz. . After being a constant runner-up for the entire Dew Tour, Philadelphia-native and Dew Tour rookie Chris Cole won the skate park final for the first time, making him the 2009 Dew Cup champion in skate park. Chris Cole, Paul Rodriguez, Greg Lutzka, Milton Martinez, Danilo do Rosario and Chaz Ortiz were the final skaters in the jam. “Winning the Dew Cup is awesome, and the experience of going to each stop and skating with all of these guys was really cool,” said Cole. The lander of skateboarding’s 1st 900 is going to be inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame along with icons: Bruce Logan, Tony Alva, Tony Hawk and Danny Way. The official inauguration will be held at The Vans Skatepark at the Block in Orange, California.
