Star Wars releases a stand-alone novel with a difference……
Death Troopers will be released on the 13th, october 2009, and is basically a horror novel based in the vast Star Wars universe.
From the images released as well as the publishers summary- it seems to be about zombies, and would probably make an excellent video-game( think Doom 3 meets Dark Forces 1)
This is not the first attempt at Star Wars media in the horror genre- in 1998 a couple childrens books were done( The Doomsday Ship, The Brain Spiders, Ghost of The Jedi). The recent Coruscant Nights series was also reminiscant of 1970′s detective movies, even including a wise-cracking protocol droid.
Star Wars once again proves its major influence on everything- fashion, philosophy, art and once more horror.
