 Almost 50 years since Gidget stirred up waves in the centries-old male dominated sport, the sport is now pulling in many girls in their teens and 20s Among these many females riding the waves and looking good- Alana Blanchard stands out. This 19 year old is amazingly beautiful and is also an amazing surfer. A surf company’s dream sponsor; she could do a photo-shoot wearing a rashguard and then within minutes be pulling cutbacks and aerials with the same rashguard on.

 She isn’t surfing’s Anna Kournikova- in 2005, Blanchard was the Triple Crown rookiee of the year and since then has placed in several high profile competitions around the globe.

She competes year round and dominates wherever she goes. She competes next at the Movistar Peru Classic from November 3rd-8th, The World Cup of Surfing from November 25th-December 6th, and the Billabong Pro from December 8th-20th.
